Hi Priya, I hope things are going well at the new apartment! I wanted to tell you about something I discovered last weekend that I think you'd love, especially since you mentioned wanting fresher produce closer to your new place in Riverside. There's a farmers market that runs every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the parking lot behind the community centre on Birchwood Avenue. I went for the first time last week and honestly, I ended up staying almost two hours. There must have been thirty or forty vendor stalls set up, selling everything from heirloom tomatoes and fresh corn to homemade jams, local honey, and even hand-knitted scarves from a woman who raises her own sheep just outside town. What surprised me most was the pricing. I expected it to be more expensive than the grocery store, but a lot of the vegetables were actually a bit cheaper, and the quality was so much better. I bought a bag of peaches from a stall run by an older couple who told me they drive in from their orchard about forty minutes away every single week. They said Saturdays are their busiest day by far, especially between nine and eleven, so if you want to avoid the crowds, it's better to arrive right when it opens. There's also a small section near the entrance where local musicians perform, and a food truck that only shows up every second week selling breakfast burritos. I'd suggest bringing cash, since a few of the smaller stalls don't accept cards, though most of the bigger ones do. Would you like to come with me this Saturday?
