Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 July 2026
TestDayTwin is operated by an independent sole proprietor based in Canada. We keep data collection to a minimum. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices, in line with Canada'sPersonal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The short version
- You can browse and practise without an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or a sign-in.
- Your practice progress stays on your own device — it is not uploaded to us.
- When you use optional AI scoring, your response is sent to Google's Gemini API to be graded and is not stored on our servers.
- We use privacy-respecting counters (by IP address) only to keep the free tools free from abuse.
What we collect and why
Practice progress (stored on your device)
Your answers, scores, and progress are saved locally in your browser (IndexedDB / local storage). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
AI scoring content
If you choose "Get detailed AI scoring," the practice question and the response you typed are sent toGoogle's Gemini API to generate an estimated score and feedback. We do notstore your response or the result on our servers — the request is processed and returned to your browser. Google processes the request underGoogle's API terms. Because the content leaves your device to reach Google, please do not include personal, financial, or sensitive information in practice responses.
Quota counters (Cloudflare KV)
To keep AI scoring free and protect it from bots and cost spikes, we count scoring requests using yourIP address and a shared daily total. These are counts only — no response content, no identity — and they automatically expire after about two days. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Server logs
Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request metadata (such as IP address, timestamp, and browser type) to deliver and secure the site. SeeCloudflare's Privacy Policy.
No accounts today. TestDayTwin does not currently offer sign-in and does not collect your name or email address. If we add optional accounts in future, we will update this policy first and only ask for the minimum needed (such as a sign-in email).
Cookies, local storage, and advertising
We use your browser's local storage to remember your practice progress and your cookie-consent choice. We donot currently run advertising. If we introduce ads in future, they will be served byGoogle AdSense, and:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- For visitors in the EU, UK, and Canada, we show a consent banner so you can accept or reject non-essential cookies before any personalized ads load.
- You can also review options at aboutads.info/choices.
Who we share data with
- Cloudflare — hosting, security, and the quota counters described above.
- Google — the Gemini API (only when you use AI scoring), and Google AdSense if advertising is enabled in future.
We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights under PIPEDA
You may ask what personal information we hold, request a correction, or withdraw consent. Because your progress lives on your own device and we do not hold accounts, most of your data is already under your direct control — clearing your browser's site data removes it. For anything else, contact us (below) and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is intended for adults preparing for language exams and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
