TEXT A — Service Notice: Route 7 Tram Engineering Works Fenwick Valley Transit — Planned Engineering Works From Saturday 19 September to Sunday 27 September, Route 7 trams will not run between Millbrook Lane and Harbour Quay while engineers replace worn track and upgrade the signalling at the Corn Exchange junction. A replacement shuttle bus, numbered 7X, will call at every affected tram stop except Weaver Street, where the road is too narrow for a full-sized vehicle. Passengers for Weaver Street should use the temporary stop on Alder Row, a walk of about four minutes. The shuttle departs every twelve minutes on weekdays, and every twenty minutes after 8.00 pm and at weekends. Journeys will take up to fifteen minutes longer than usual, so please allow extra time, especially if you are connecting with mainline rail services at Harbour Quay. Tram tickets and passes remain valid on the shuttle at no additional charge. Each shuttle carries a single wheelchair space. If the space is occupied, our travel assistance team will arrange an accessible taxi free of charge: call 0300 555 0117 before 6.00 pm on the day before you travel. Real-time updates appear on fvtransit.ca and on the screens at major stops throughout the works. We apologise for the disruption and thank you for your patience. ———————————— TEXT B — Introducing the BreezePass Tired of hunting for change every morning? The new BreezePass from Fenwick Valley Transit puts every bus, tram and river ferry in the valley on one reloadable smartcard. Pay just $2.25 per trip instead of the $2.80 cash fare, and never spend more than $6.75 in a single day, however many journeys you make — the daily cap is applied automatically. Top up online, at any ticket machine, or at more than sixty local shops displaying the Breeze sign. Students aged 16 to 21 save a further 30 per cent on the adult rate with Student Breeze, and children under five continue to travel free with a fare-paying adult. Seniors' concession cards are not affected and remain valid as before. Order your BreezePass online before 31 October and we will post it to you at no cost, loaded with a $5 welcome credit. From 1 November, cards cost $4 at ticket offices and machines. Lost your card? Block it within minutes through your online account, and any remaining balance is transferred to your replacement — something a pocketful of coins could never offer. Full terms and conditions at fvtransit.ca/breeze. ———————————— TEXT C — Night Owl Buses: Getting Home After Midnight Fenwick Valley Transit operates three Night Owl routes — the N2, N5 and N9 — every night of the year, including public holidays. N2: City Interchange to Ashfield, via Mercy General Hospital. First departure 12.30 am, then hourly until 4.30 am. N5: City Interchange to Portside, via the university residences. First departure 12.45 am, then hourly until 3.45 am. N9: a circular route serving the western suburbs. First departure 1.00 am, then every ninety minutes; last departure 4.00 am. All Night Owl journeys cost a flat $3.50, whatever the distance, and BreezePass daily caps do not apply after midnight. Drivers carry no cash after 10.00 pm, so please pay by bank card, phone or BreezePass. For your safety, you may ask to be set down between official stops anywhere along the route after 11.00 pm — simply tell the driver at least one stop ahead. Every vehicle is fitted with CCTV, and the on-board help point connects you to our control room at any hour. Printed timetables are free from the information desk at City Interchange, open 7.00 am to 9.00 pm daily, or visit fvtransit.ca/nightowl.
