TEXT A — Ferndale Community Shuttle — Service Notice The Ferndale Community Shuttle now runs a revised loop linking the town square, the medical centre and Riverside Retail Park. Buses depart the town square every 20 minutes from 6:40 am until 9:00 pm on weekdays. On Saturdays the first departure is at 8:00 am and the last is at 7:20 pm. There is no Sunday service, and the shuttle does not operate on statutory holidays. A single adult fare is $2.75, payable by exact coins or by tapping a registered travel card at the front reader. Cards may be topped up at the newsagent inside the square, but not on board. Children under five ride free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult; up to two children per adult qualify. Passengers using a mobility scooter should board through the rear ramp, which the driver will lower on request. Please signal early so the driver has time to pull in fully. Bicycles are not carried at any time. Timetables printed before March may show the old route via Elm Lane; these are out of date. For live arrival times, scan the code on the shelter or ask staff at the square kiosk, open daily until 6:00 pm. ———————————— TEXT B — Weekend Park-and-Ride — What You Need to Know Leave the car at Greenway Fields and let the express coach carry you into the city centre in comfort. The car park opens at 7:30 am each Saturday and Sunday and is free for all coach ticket holders; a $6 daily charge applies to drivers who do not travel onward with us. Coaches leave the field every 15 minutes and drop passengers at three central stops: the cathedral, the market hall and the sports arena. The last coach back from the arena leaves at 11:15 pm, so evening events are easily reached. Keep your return portion, as it is checked when you board. A family day pass covers two adults and up to three children for $14 and can be bought from the machine beside the ticket office or from the driver, though drivers accept cards only, not cash. Assistance dogs travel free; other pets are not permitted. We advise arriving 20 minutes before a show, as queues build quickly on match days. Lost property found on our coaches is held at the Greenway office for 14 days, after which unclaimed items are given to charity. ———————————— TEXT C — Night Owl Route N9 — Timetable and Rules Route N9 runs after regular services end, connecting the hospital, the university halls and the harbour district through the night. Departures from the hospital are hourly at ten past the hour, from 12:10 am to 4:10 am, seven nights a week. A flat night fare of $3.50 applies and must be paid by card; the on-board machine does not take notes or coins. Because seating is limited, standing is allowed only as far as the university halls, never beyond. Drivers may refuse boarding once the aisle is full. For your safety, sit near the front if travelling alone, and press the bell in good time before your stop. Under-16s are not carried on the N9 unless a named adult stays with them for the whole journey. Alcohol may be carried if sealed, but drinking on board is forbidden and drivers can end a journey early if this rule is broken. If your connecting service is cancelled, keep your N9 ticket and claim a free onward transfer at the harbour office the following morning. Real-time updates for the night network appear on the operator's message board rather than the main app.
