TEXT Text A — Riverbend Leisure Centre — Swimming Pool Rules Riverbend Leisure Centre — Swimming Pool Rules Welcome to our recently refurbished pool. To keep everyone safe, please read the following before you enter the water. A shower is required before swimming. This is not optional; a lifeguard may ask you to leave the pool deck and wash first if you skip it. Children under the age of eight must be accompanied in the water by an adult at all times. One adult may supervise a maximum of two young children. The deep end (marked by the blue rope) is reserved for confident swimmers and is closed during family sessions, which run every weekday from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm. Inflatable toys and balls are permitted only during the Saturday morning "Splash Play" hour. At all other times they must be left in the changing rooms. Diving is allowed solely from the boards at the far end, and only when the diving pool is open and a lifeguard is present. Please do not run on the wet tiles. Lockers cost 50p, refunded when you return the key. Lost keys carry a £5 charge. Any belongings left after closing will be moved to lost property and kept for fourteen days. ———————————— TEXT Text B — Oakhollow Community Sports Field — Now Taking Bookings Oakhollow Community Sports Field — Now Taking Bookings Set within twelve acres of parkland, Oakhollow offers two full-size grass pitches, an all-weather artificial surface, and a small pavilion with hot showers and a kitchen. Bookings are handled entirely online through our website. We no longer accept telephone reservations, as the office is unstaffed at weekends. Payment is taken at the time of booking; we regret that we cannot hold a slot without it. Standard hire of a grass pitch is £40 for ninety minutes. The artificial surface, which is floodlit, costs £55 for the same period and can be used well into the evening. Local schools and registered charities receive a third off these rates on production of proof. Please note that metal studs are not allowed on the artificial pitch, as they damage the surface; moulded boots or trainers only. Dogs must be kept on a lead and away from the playing areas. Cancellations made at least seventy-two hours in advance are refunded in full. Later than that, no refund is given, though you are welcome to transfer your booking to another free date within the same month. ———————————— TEXT Text C — Meadowvale Ice Rink — Visitor Information Meadowvale Ice Rink — Visitor Information Our indoor rink is open all year round. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned skater, there is a session to suit you. Skate hire is included in every admission ticket, so there is nothing extra to pay at the counter. Helmets are strongly recommended for children and are handed out free of charge at the boot desk; we do ask that they are returned before you leave. Please dress warmly — the ice hall is kept cold, and gloves are compulsory for everyone, as they protect your hands should you fall. Gloves are sold in the shop if you forget yours. Timetable Monday–Friday: Public skating 10.00–12.00 and 2.00–4.00. Lessons 4.30–6.00. Saturday: Public skating 9.00–1.00. Ice-hockey club has exclusive use 5.00–7.00. Sunday: Quiet Session (dimmed lights, low music) 9.00–10.00, then public skating until 3.00. The rink closes without notice if maintenance is needed, so it is wise to check our online notice board before travelling. Group discounts apply to parties of ten or more, but these must be arranged in advance. A small café beside the ice serves hot drinks and light snacks throughout the day, and there is no charge to sit and watch if you would rather not skate.
