TEXT A — Notice to all residents of Maple Court
PLANNED MAINTENANCE — TUESDAY 14 JULY
Please be advised that the passenger lift serving Blocks 1 and 2 will be out of service from 8.00 am until approximately 4.30 pm on Tuesday 14 July, while engineers replace the control panel. The smaller goods lift in Block 3 will remain in operation, and residents with mobility difficulties may use it while the work is carried out. If you are expecting a delivery of heavy furniture that day, we suggest rearranging it for later in the week.
In addition, the water supply to all flats will be switched off between 10.00 am and 12 noon so that a faulty valve in the basement can be replaced. We recommend filling a kettle or a few containers the evening before. Please note that the hot water system may take up to two hours to return to full temperature once the supply is restored.
A reminder will be posted in each lobby the day before the work starts. We apologise for any inconvenience. Questions should be directed to the building manager, Sandra Okafor, in the ground-floor office (open 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday) or by telephone on 020 7946 0322.

TEXT B — Secure storage now available at Maple Court
Tired of squeezing suitcases under the bed? Twenty brand-new storage lockers have been installed in the basement of Block 2 and are available to rent by residents only.
Each locker measures 1.8 m wide by 1.2 m deep by 1.0 m high — large enough for bicycles, seasonal decorations or camping equipment. The storage room is protected by a keypad entry system, and the code is changed every month for security. Please note that the lockers must not be used for food, paint, gas canisters or anything flammable, and the management company cannot accept responsibility for items of high value such as jewellery or cameras.
Rental costs £18 per month, or £180 if you pay for a full year in advance — a saving of £36. There is also a one-off refundable key deposit of £25. Viewings can be arranged on Wednesday afternoons.
To reserve a locker, complete the form available from the ground-floor office or email [email protected]. Lockers are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is currently a short waiting list for the larger corner units. Existing renters will be offered first refusal if further lockers are added later in the year.

TEXT C — Maple Court waste and recycling guide
GENERAL WASTE
Grey bins are emptied every Monday and Thursday. Please bag all rubbish securely and use the chute on your landing; oversized bags block the chute and must be carried down to the bin store beside the car park.
RECYCLING
Blue bins (paper, cardboard, tins and plastic bottles) are collected every Wednesday. Glass must be taken to the green bank at the corner of Elm Road, as broken glass in the chute is a danger to staff. Cardboard boxes should be flattened before being placed in the bins.
FOOD WASTE
Small brown caddies are provided free of charge — collect yours from the office. Caddies are emptied twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Compostable liners can be bought at the office for £2.50 a roll.
BULKY ITEMS
Furniture, mattresses and electrical goods are not collected with normal rubbish. Ring the council on 0161 234 5000 to book a special collection; the first two collections each year are free for every household, and a charge of £15 applies after that. Items left beside the bin store will be treated as fly-tipping, which carries a fine of up to £400.
A full calendar of collection dates is pinned to the noticeboard beside the postboxes in each lobby.
