TEXT Text A — Riverbank Community Health Centre — Patient Notice Welcome to Riverbank Community Health Centre. Our doctors and nurses look after residents living within the Riverbank, Elmswood and Portside districts. To register as a new patient, please bring photo identification and a document showing your current address, such as a utility bill or tenancy agreement, to the front desk between 9am and 11am on any weekday. The centre is open Monday to Friday from 8am until 6.30pm, and on Saturday mornings from 9am until 12 noon for urgent matters only. We are closed on all public holidays. Appointments may be booked by telephone, through our website, or in person. If you cannot attend a booked appointment, we ask that you cancel at least four hours beforehand so the slot can be offered to someone else. Repeat prescriptions must be requested at least three working days before you run out of medicine. You may order these online or by dropping a written request into the green box beside the reception counter. Please do not telephone the pharmacy directly. The car park at the rear of the building has twelve spaces, four of which are reserved for blue-badge holders. Additional on-street parking is available on Meadow Lane, a two-minute walk away. ———————————— TEXT Text B — Free Autumn Flu Clinics — Book Now Riverbank Community Health Centre is offering free seasonal flu vaccinations to everyone in an at-risk group. You qualify if you are aged 65 or over, are pregnant, care for an elderly relative at home, or have a long-term condition such as asthma, diabetes or heart disease. Children between the ages of two and eleven are offered a nasal spray rather than an injection. Walk-in sessions run every Wednesday afternoon during October and November, from 2pm to 5pm, in the Blue Room on the ground floor. No appointment is needed for these sessions, but you may face a short wait at busy times. If you would prefer a fixed time, telephone reception to reserve one of our Tuesday evening slots. Please wear a top with loose sleeves that can be rolled up easily. The whole visit usually takes under fifteen minutes, and you are welcome to sit in the waiting area afterwards if you feel light-headed. The vaccine cannot give you flu, though a mild ache in the arm for a day or two is normal. Carers accompanying a patient may also be vaccinated free of charge on the same visit. Bring a list of any current medicines with you. ———————————— TEXT Text C — Riverbank Physiotherapy Service — Information for Patients Our physiotherapy team helps people recover movement and manage pain after injury, surgery or illness. You do not need to see a doctor first; you may refer yourself using the form on our website or by collecting a paper copy from reception. First appointments last around forty minutes and usually take place in Consulting Room 3 on the first floor. A lift is available for those who cannot manage the stairs. Please wear comfortable, loose clothing, as you may be asked to move or stretch during the assessment. If your problem concerns a knee or ankle, shorts are helpful. There is normally a waiting time of two to three weeks for a first appointment. Urgent cases, such as those following a recent operation, are seen sooner. Should your symptoms suddenly worsen while you wait, please contact reception rather than attending Accident and Emergency. Follow-up sessions are shorter, lasting about twenty-five minutes. Most patients need between three and six visits in total. If you cannot attend, give us at least one full day's notice; two missed appointments without warning will mean your case is closed and you must be referred again. Classes for back pain and balance run on Thursday mornings.
