TEXT Text A — Number 27 Bus - Route Changes from 3 September From Monday 3 September, the number 27 service between Elmbridge Station and the Cedar Point Retail Park will run along a new road. Because of long-term repairs to the bridge on Marsh Lane, buses can no longer cross the river at that point. Instead, the 27 will turn left at the Corn Exchange, travel down Weaver Street, and re-join its usual route beside the public library. The stops on Marsh Lane and outside the old dairy will not be served while the work continues. The nearest alternative stop is on Weaver Street, roughly a four-minute walk from the dairy. New temporary shelters have been placed there, and a member of staff will be on hand each weekday morning until 30 September to help passengers find the correct stand. Journey times may rise by up to eight minutes during the afternoon peak. We have added two extra buses between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. so that services remain frequent. Weekend timetables are unaffected. If you hold a monthly pass and feel the changes make your trip noticeably longer, you may claim a partial refund at the travel office in the station concourse. Please bring your pass and proof of purchase. ———————————— TEXT Text B — Try the New "Hopper" Evening Fare Riverside Buses is pleased to introduce the Hopper, a flat-price evening ticket designed for people who make more than one short trip after work. For a single payment of £3.20, you may board any of our town-centre routes as often as you like between 6.30 p.m. and midnight. The Hopper is ideal if you are heading out for a meal and then on to the cinema, or collecting shopping before visiting friends across town. There is no need to buy a separate ticket for each leg of the journey. Simply show the driver your Hopper, or tap your contactless card and say "Hopper" when you board the first bus. Children under five travel free at all times and do not need a Hopper. A child aged five to fifteen pays a reduced flat fare of £1.60. The Hopper cannot be used on the airport express or on our long-distance coaches to the coast. Buy your Hopper on board, at the station kiosk, or through the Riverside app. App users who register a payment card before 1 October will receive their first Hopper at half price. Ordinary daytime fares and weekly passes are not changing. ———————————— TEXT Text C — Elmbridge Community Minibus - Information for New Passengers The Elmbridge Community Minibus is a door-to-door service run by volunteers for residents who find ordinary buses hard to use. You do not need to live near a bus stop; the driver will collect you from your home and set you down at your destination. Who can use it? Anyone over sixty, and any adult with a mobility card, may register. Registration is free but must be completed at least two working days before your first trip. Carers travel at no charge when accompanying a registered passenger. Booking. Ring the office on 01634 555 190 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday to Friday. Please book your journey by 4 p.m. on the day before you wish to travel. We ask for a voluntary contribution of £2 towards fuel for trips within the town, or £4 for journeys to the county hospital. Where we go. Regular runs serve the two supermarkets, the health centre, and the Thursday market. On the last Friday of each month we make a longer trip to the garden centre at Ash Hill, leaving the square at 10 a.m. and returning by 1 p.m. Wheelchairs can be carried, but please tell us when booking so the correct vehicle is sent.
