TEXT A — Millbrook Farmers' Market — Visitor Information
Every Saturday, 8.30 am to 1.30 pm, Riverside Car Park, Millbrook
Our market brings together more than forty producers, all based within fifty kilometres of the town. You will find seasonal fruit and vegetables, free-range eggs, artisan bread, honey, preserves, cut flowers and locally reared meat. Every stallholder grows, rears, bakes or makes what they sell — no imported goods are permitted on any stall.
Getting here: the car park itself is closed to vehicles on market days. Free parking is available at Wellington Street, a five-minute walk away, and the Number 12 bus stops directly outside the market entrance.
Dogs on short leads are welcome, but please keep them clear of the food stalls. There are no cash machines on site; however, most traders now accept card payments.
Loyalty scheme: collect a stamp card from the information tent. Ten stamps earn a £5 voucher, which can be spent with any trader at the market.
The market operates in all weathers and is cancelled only if the Environment Agency issues a flood warning for the Riverside area. Any cancellation is announced by 7 am on our website and Facebook page.

TEXT C — Trading at Millbrook Farmers' Market — a guide for new stallholders
Millbrook Farmers' Market welcomes applications from producers based within fifty kilometres of the town.
How to apply: complete the online form and attach two photographs of your products. Applications are reviewed by the market committee on the first Monday of every month. Successful applicants are invited to trade for a four-week trial period before being offered a permanent pitch.
Fees: a standard three-metre pitch costs £28 per market day, payable monthly in advance. Electricity costs an extra £6 per day and must be booked a week ahead, as the supply is limited. New traders receive their first market day free of charge.
What you must bring: your own table, a weatherproof cover and a public liability insurance certificate with minimum cover of £5 million. Producers selling meat, dairy or cooked food must also hold a food hygiene certificate and display their most recent inspection rating.
Setting up: vehicles may enter the site between 6.45 am and 8 am. All vehicles must be off the trading area by 8.15 am; traders who arrive after that time will be asked to carry their stock in by hand.
