TEXT A — Riverside Loop Bus — Weekend Service Notice
The Riverside Loop (Route 7) will run a reduced weekend timetable from Saturday 12 July until the end of August while roadworks continue on Mill Lane. During this period buses depart from the Market Square stop rather than the usual bay outside the library, which is closed to traffic. Passengers should allow an extra ten minutes for their journey, as the temporary route follows Canal Road and Beech Street before rejoining the normal line at the hospital.
The first bus of the day leaves Market Square at 7.15 a.m. on Saturdays and 8.40 a.m. on Sundays. The last departure is at 11.30 p.m. on both days. Services run every twenty minutes during the morning and afternoon, and every forty minutes after 8 p.m.
Contactless cards and the RiverTravel app are accepted on board; the driver can no longer give change for notes larger than ten pounds. Concession holders travel free at all times, but must show a valid pass. Bicycles are welcome outside peak hours, space permitting, and folding cycles may be carried at any time. For live updates during disruption, follow @RiverTravel or telephone the help line on 0800 114 227.

TEXT B — Northgate Park & Ride — Information Leaflet
Leave your car at the edge of town and let us take the strain. Northgate Park & Ride offers 600 secure, well-lit parking spaces and a frequent shuttle into the city centre, running every twelve minutes on weekdays and every twenty minutes at weekends. The site opens at 6 a.m. and the final shuttle back to the car park departs the centre at 9.45 p.m.
A return shuttle ticket costs £3.20 and covers up to five passengers travelling in the same car, so families and car-sharers pay only once. Parking itself is charged separately at £2 per day, payable at the machine before you board or through our website in advance. Blue Badge holders park without charge in the marked bays near the terminal building.
The waiting area has covered seating, a hot-drinks kiosk open until midday, and baby-changing facilities. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout. Please note that overnight parking is not permitted; any vehicle left after 10.30 p.m. may be issued with a penalty notice. Lost tickets can be replaced at the office for a £5 fee. Season permits, offering unlimited parking for a calendar month, are available online and represent excellent value for regular commuters.

TEXT C — Community Minibus Scheme — Advertisement
Do you struggle to reach the shops, a medical appointment or a friend's house because there is no bus near you? The Ashborne Community Minibus could be the answer. Run entirely by trained volunteers, our door-to-door service is designed for residents who find ordinary public transport difficult to use.
Membership is open to anyone living within the Ashborne district who is over 60, or who has a disability or long-term health condition. Joining costs £12 a year. Once you are a member, a single trip within the town costs £2.50, and journeys to the county hospital in Denford cost £6 return.
Bookings must be made at least two working days ahead by ringing the office between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday to Friday. We ask that you are ready fifteen minutes before your agreed pick-up time, as the driver may arrive early. The minibus has a low step and a ramp for wheelchair users, and a volunteer can help carry shopping to your door.
We are always looking for drivers and escorts who can spare a few hours a week. No special licence is needed for our smaller vehicles. To join, book a trip or offer your time, call 01632 770 559.
