TEXT A — Maple Ridge Community Library — Opening Hours & Membership Our doors are open seven days a week. From Monday to Thursday you may visit between 9.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m., while on Friday we close a little earlier, at 6.00 p.m. Weekend hours are shorter: Saturday 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., and Sunday 12.00 noon to 4.00 p.m. The library is closed on all statutory holidays. Joining is free for anyone who lives, works or studies in the Maple Ridge district. To register, simply bring one piece of photo identification and one recent document showing your home address, such as a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last three months. Applicants under sixteen must be signed up by a parent or guardian, who accepts responsibility for any items borrowed on the junior card. Your membership card allows you to take out up to fifteen items at once and to reserve titles that are currently on loan. Standard loans run for three weeks and may be renewed twice, provided no one else is waiting for the item. Please note that reference works, current periodicals and rare local-history materials must be consulted on the premises and cannot be removed from the building. ———————————— TEXT B — Digital Services at Your Fingertips Did you know your library card unlocks far more than the shelves you see around you? Once you are a member, you can stream films, borrow e-books and audiobooks, and read hundreds of magazines from home — all completely free of charge. The BorrowBox app lets you download up to eight e-books and eight audiobooks each month. Titles return themselves automatically when the loan period ends, so you will never pay a late fee. For newspapers and glossy magazines, use the PressReader service, which offers publications in more than sixty languages. Learners are especially well served. Our subscription to LinguaLab gives you access to interactive courses in forty languages, while the Skillforge platform hosts thousands of video tutorials on everything from spreadsheet formulas to watercolour painting. Job-seekers can build a professional CV using the templates in our Careers Corner database. To begin, download the relevant app from your device's store and sign in with your card number and PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN, staff at any branch can reset it for you in seconds. Free one-to-one sessions with a digital adviser can also be booked at the main desk. ———————————— TEXT C — What's On This Month at the Riverside Branch Rhyme Time — Every Tuesday, 10.30 a.m. Songs, rhymes and stories for babies and toddlers up to three years old.
