TEXT A — Maplewood Leisure Centre: Swimming Pool Notice For everyone's comfort and safety, please observe the following rules at all times. All swimmers are required to shower before entering the water. Outdoor shoes must not be worn on the poolside; plastic overshoes are provided free of charge at the reception desk. Children under the age of eight must be supervised in the water by an adult, with no more than two children per adult. Armbands and float belts may be borrowed from the lifeguard station at no cost. Inflatable toys from home can only be used during the Family Splash session, which runs on Saturdays from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Lane swimming is held on weekday mornings between 7.00 and 9.00. Please choose the lane that matches your speed and swim in a clockwise direction. Diving is permitted only from the marked area at the deep end. Running on the poolside, bombing and pushing others are forbidden at all times. Lockers take a £1 coin, which is returned when the key is handed back. The centre accepts no responsibility for valuables left in the changing rooms. The pool may occasionally close at short notice for staff training. Wherever possible, closures will be announced on our website two days beforehand. Please follow the lifeguards' instructions at all times. ———————————— TEXT B — Riverside Recreation Centre: Autumn Membership Offer Thinking about getting fitter before the winter? Classes can be reserved up to seven days ahead, either online or at the reception desk. Popular sessions fill quickly, so early booking is strongly advised. If you cancel less than 24 hours before a class begins, a £3 fee applies to your account. What to bring. For studio classes, wear comfortable clothing and clean indoor trainers. Mats are supplied for yoga and Pilates, though you are welcome to bring your own. A water bottle is essential in every session; the drinking fountain on the first floor is free to use. Towels can be hired at reception for £1.50. This season's programme: Aqua Fit — Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6.30 pm (45 minutes). A gentle water-based workout suitable for all abilities, including non-swimmers. Spin Express — weekdays, 12.15 pm (30 minutes). A short, intense cycling class designed for people on their lunch break. Beginners' Yoga — Sundays, 10.00 am (60 minutes). Newcomers should arrive fifteen minutes early for a short introduction from the instructor. Please note that the instructor may refuse entry to anyone arriving more than five minutes after a class has started, as the warm-up is an essential part of safe exercise.
