In 1995
- A coal-fired power station with three tall smoking chimneys
- A large open coal-storage yard beside the station
- A railway line bringing in coal from the west

In 2025
- The chimneys and coal yard demolished and removed
- A large field of solar panels where the coal yard stood
- Three wind turbines installed on the northern edge
