Arrange the sentences into the correct order.
Put the sentences in the correct order:
- If the leaves remain firm and green, the current routine can simply be repeated the next time the soil dries out.
- Over the following days, watch the leaves for signs of wilting or yellowing, as either can indicate that the watering schedule needs adjustment.
- Once the excess water has drained away, empty the saucer beneath the pot so the roots do not sit in standing liquid.
- If the soil is dry, water the plant slowly until moisture drains from the bottom of the pot.
- Before watering a houseplant, first check whether the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.
