Re-order Paragraphs
Arrange the sentences into the correct order.
Put the sentences in the correct order:
- Only after the cover is firmly fixed in place is the book trimmed along its remaining edges to produce the clean, uniform pages readers expect.
- A stiff cover, often made of cloth-covered board, is then attached to the glued spine, giving the book its outer protection and shape.
- Once the sewing is complete, a layer of glue is applied to the spine to reinforce the binding and keep the signatures from shifting apart.
- These signatures are then stacked in the correct order and sewn along their folded spines with strong thread, holding the pages together as a single unit.
- Before a book can be sewn together, printed sheets of paper are folded multiple times to form small booklets known as signatures.
