Re-order Paragraphs

Arrange the sentences into the correct order.

Put the sentences in the correct order:

  1. The industry is now moving toward cable-free systems that let multiple cars operate in a single shaft, a shift that could reshape building design just as dramatically as the original safety brake did.
  2. More recently, manufacturers have refined the technology further by installing sensors that call an idle elevator to a floor before a resident even presses the button, based on learned movement patterns.
  3. With that fear removed, architects began designing taller buildings, and city skylines started climbing upward rather than only sprawling outward.
  4. This changed when a safety brake was introduced that could stop an elevator car from falling even if its lifting cable snapped, finally making vertical travel trustworthy enough for the public.
  5. Before the mid-nineteenth century, buildings rarely exceeded five or six stories, since climbing any higher on foot was impractical for daily use.
