Northgate Community Bank recently updated its fee schedule for personal chequing accounts. Customers who maintain a minimum daily balance of $1,500 will continue to have their monthly account fee waived entirely. Those who fall below this balance at any point during the month will now be charged $16, up from $12 previously. In addition, the bank has introduced a new $2 charge for paper statements mailed to a home address; customers who switch to electronic statements will not pay this fee. Interac e-transfers remain free for all account holders, regardless of balance. Overdraft protection, if enabled, still costs $5 per transaction when the account balance goes negative. The bank noted that these changes are meant to encourage more customers to move to digital banking and reduce printing and mailing costs. Customers who disagree with the changes may switch to a different account type or close their account without penalty before the new fees take effect next month.

Based on the passage, which two statements about the new fee schedule are correct? (select all that apply)
