Starting next month, the office carpool program will switch from a fixed weekly schedule to a rotating one to make sharing rides fairer among the twelve participants. Each driver will take a turn for one full week before rotating to the next person on the list, and the order will be posted on the shared calendar at the start of each month. Anyone unable to drive during their assigned week must arrange a swap with another participant at least three days in advance and notify the group coordinator by email so the calendar can be updated. Riders are expected to be at the pickup point no later than 7:40 a.m., since the driver will not wait more than five minutes past that time. Fuel costs will continue to be split evenly among all riders at the end of each month, regardless of how many days a person actually rode that week, to keep the accounting simple.
