Respond to a Situation

You share an open-plan office with several coworkers, and there has been an ongoing disagreement about the thermostat setting. Situation: A coworker just complained again that the office is too cold, but you and two others find the current temperature comfortable for working. Respond to your coworker face to face. In your response, acknowledge their discomfort, explain that others are comfortable at the current setting, and suggest a fair compromise, such as a middle temperature or a desk heater.
