Northgate Workwear has simplified its process for exchanging staff uniforms that do not fit correctly. Employees who receive a uniform in the wrong size can now exchange it within 30 days of collection, provided the garment is unworn, unwashed, and still has its original tags attached. To start an exchange, staff should bring the item to the supply desk on the second floor along with their employee identification card. A staff member will measure the employee if needed and select a replacement size from current stock. If the correct size is not in stock, an order will be placed and the new uniform typically arrives within one week. Employees are encouraged to try on uniforms as soon as they receive them, rather than waiting until their first shift, so that any sizing issues can be resolved quickly. The company has also added a sizing chart to the staff intranet to help new hires choose the right size before their first order is placed. Managers say the updated process has cut waiting times significantly compared with the previous system, which required employees to mail uniforms to a distant warehouse for exchange.
