Maple Grove Inn is updating its booking change policy starting next month. Currently, guests can modify or cancel a reservation up to 24 hours before check-in without a fee. Under the new policy, changes made within 48 hours of arrival will carry a one-night charge, unless the room is rebooked at the same rate to another guest. Guests who booked through third-party travel sites should still contact that website directly, since the hotel cannot alter those reservations on its own system. Front desk staff will gain access to a new booking dashboard that shows real-time room availability, which should make it easier to offer alternative dates instead of a straight cancellation. The hotel is also extending its price-match window: if a guest finds a lower publicly listed rate for the same room within three days of booking, they can request the difference back as a credit toward parking or breakfast. Management says the changes are meant to reduce last-minute cancellations while still giving travellers flexibility. Guests with existing reservations made before the policy change will be honoured under the old rules. A notice explaining the update will be emailed to everyone with an upcoming stay, and the front desk will also post a printed summary near the check-in counter for walk-in guests.
