Rosewood Property Management has changed how tenants can book apartment viewings, following complaints about long wait times and missed appointments. Previously, prospective renters called a single office number to arrange a visit, which often meant being placed on hold or waiting days for a callback. Under the new system, available units are listed on an online calendar, and interested applicants can choose any open 20-minute slot themselves, with confirmation sent by text message immediately. Each viewing now includes a building staff member who can answer questions about parking, laundry facilities, and utility costs on the spot, rather than referring callers to a separate leasing office. To reduce no-shows, the calendar sends an automatic reminder the evening before the appointment, and slots left unconfirmed 12 hours in advance are released back to the public booking list. Applicants who need to reschedule can do so online without calling anyone, as long as they make the change at least two hours before their original slot. Rosewood says early results show viewing wait times dropping from an average of six days to under two, and staff report fewer wasted trips to empty units. The company plans to roll out the same booking tool across its other buildings by the end of the year.
