Workplace Notice: Upcoming Fire Safety Drill All staff are reminded that a mandatory fire safety drill will take place this Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The drill will test the building's alarm system and confirm that all employees know their designated exit route and outdoor meeting point. When the alarm sounds, employees should stop what they are doing, leave laptops and personal items behind, and walk calmly to the nearest marked exit, avoiding the elevators at all times. Floor wardens, identified by orange vests, will be stationed near each exit to guide employees and confirm that no one is left behind in their section. Once outside, staff should proceed directly to the meeting point in the north parking lot and remain there until a floor warden or manager confirms that everyone has been accounted for and gives the signal to return. Employees with mobility needs, or anyone assisting a colleague with a mobility need, should use the designated evacuation chairs located near the stairwells rather than attempting the stairs unassisted. Staff who are working from home that day do not need to take part. Managers are asked to remind their teams of the drill during Wednesday's team meetings, and anyone with questions beforehand should contact the workplace safety officer directly rather than waiting until the day of the drill.
