- Step 3. Use the remaining seconds to check sentence grammar, spelling and any likely missing small word.

- Remembering only nouns while dropping articles, auxiliaries and prepositions.
- Changing the speaker’s wording to a synonym that preserves meaning but not the dictated word.
- Leaving obvious spelling or agreement errors because the sentence “sounds close enough.”
